 Even though the Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee wins the battle, Sora begins to question whether he should keep fighting the Heartless knowing that Organization XIII would take the [[heart]]s of any he would defeat. However, Goofy reminds him that to do nothing would allow the Heartless to continue taking over worlds.
-In the meantime, the remaining members of Organization XIII return to Where Nothing Gathers for an emergency meeting. Saix reports his findings and his success of breaking Sora mentally with the 'newfound knowledge' of the strategem, only to be brushed off by Xigbar, who states that the boy will continue saving people from the Heartless, as his heart commands him to do. Luxord expresses interest at Sora's inability to alter his fate as the Organization's 'pawn', despite being warned by Xaldin with an indication of having to share Demyx's fate. Xaldin then gets brushed off by Luxord, who states that the fun is best not knowing and it would be pointless to bet on something when the outcome is already known. After Xigbar questions Xemnas on their intent on defeating Sora, Xemnas states that the boy will not be useful if he gives up easily. Xaldin then applauds his words, stating that he'll be unrelenting as in his nature, thus ending the emergency meeting.
