I agree with them that there is ample evidence of new editors rushing to post spoilers, and in the process making a mess of the pages, ''especially'' given the fact that, at the time ''there were no translations available''.

Considering the reliability of the "information" being added despite the protections, the spoiler policy is toothless, if anything.

The point of a wiki is to encourage the building of articles, yes, but '''when it is 100% certain that the information is not verifiable or reliable''', protection is appropriate.
