After awhile, Ventus and the others were happy to see Ephemer return and was informed that Player was still exploring the new world. Hearing the story of the duo's adventure as well as mentioning what they saw and believing the Darklings were behind the glitches more what Brain suspected earlier turned out to be true they were put in a data version of Daybreak Town with Ventus believing that the real one was destroyed. But they had no way to know for sure as the connection between the data and the real world had been cut suggesting that something or someone had their own plans.

Hearing the story of the duo's adventure as well as mentioning what they saw and believing the Darklings were behind the glitches more what Brain suspected earlier turned out to be true they were put in a data version of Daybreak Town with Ventus asking if the real one hadn't dissappeared. But they had no way to know for sure as the connection between the data and the real world had been cut suggesting that something or someone had their own plans. Understanding they were all put in a cage, Ven and the others hear Brain make a reaffirm on his promise to become the virus that overwrites everything. {{storylink|Quest 910: Investigating the Glitches Pt. 5}}

Later, Ventus and Skuld go to Daybreak Town and marvel how it snowed in the data world until they were found by Brain's Chirithy. He and Skuld were led to a meeting by [[Brain]] and Ephemer. Brain reveals he has the Book of Prophecy, which was meant to go to [[Strelitzia]]; inside is a memo of the five chosen to be the next Union leaders. Ventus was informed of the names on the memo are Brain, Ephemer, Skuld, Lauriam and Strelitzia; with his not on the list, much to his own shock. Then, he was pushed by Brain to remember his encounter with Master Ava, Ventus reveals she'd done so near the clock tower as well as entering dim light house and they left together not recalling much else. Believing his innocence knowing that Ventus never would've struck Strelitzia so cruelly but knowing that someone or something threw a problem into Ava's plans Brain and Ephemer believed that Darkness posed as Master Ava, killed Strelitzia and gave Ventus her book. Then, Ventus grabs his head in pain where he vaguely sees Strelitzia dying but was comforted by Brain as they plan to tell Lauriam about his sister's intended role back at the clock tower.

The constant strain of remembering what happened to Strelitzia puts Ventus in his sleeping corridors by Skuld through his dreams Ven finally remembered what happened to her. Under the presence of Darkness posing as Master Ava, he was possessed by the dark influence and yet he didn't kill Strelitzia instead took her rulebook after the Darkness killed Lauriam's sister and left the house. Waking up afterwards, Ventus started to cry feeling guilt riddened about what happened.
