In the Keyblade Graveyard Aqua, Ventus and Sora fight Terra-Xehanort in one final battle. When Terra-Xehanort captures the trio using manifested chains of their bonds and prepares to do away with Aqua and Ventus the guardian reappears to save Aqua and Ventas. The guardian breaks the chains binding the trio and puts Aqua and Ventus safely on the ground. Terra-Xehanort is surprised by the guardian's freewill, and exclaims disbelief before the guardian abruptly manifests behind him and restrains him. | |||
The guardian then manages to rip off the bandages on its mouth and begins to speak. The guardian declares his promise to one day return and set things right, revealing that it is Terra. With Terra-Xehanort restrained Sora takes the opportunity to attack simultaneously with the guardian, the light of the keyblade purifying Terra's body while Terra's heart is released from the guardian. Terra's heart is finally reunited with his body and the guardian disappears for good. | |||
