Twist

Should I add a twist to all character userboxes, or only to some ? To date, the only userboxes with twists are Xehanort's Heartless, Tron, Rai and Yuffie. And I'm thinking of "This user is a fan of Wonderboy" for the Hercules userbox, though I'm scared I might be pushing it a bit too far...... Admins, mods and frequent users, I need your attention !

With all the categories coming from the userboxes, methinks we'll have to start a category tree specially for users. So it'll look like

• Users*
  • Users by gender
  • Users by language
  • Users by affiliation (I don't know where this one leads to, though)

This is just an example, based on the definite categories. Anything else ? How do we classify characters, songs and in-game preferences ?

Also, I'm not sure whether you'll be for or against it - so have your say right here.

[[I think that the Sapphire Elegy seems more reminiscent of Nothingness, while the Black Ballade more resembles Illusion in its ability, and you might also consider the Scarlet Tango for Earth (its colour would not look out of place) and use the Crimson Jazz for fire. The Emerald Serenade might be left for those who prefer to have no element, or to allow others to fight in their stead. Christoph Schrader

Black Ballade is the only one that the game doesn't explicitly say is a certain element, and it has total immunity to everything, like nil-elemental enemies. Sapphire Elegy uses Illusion attacks, and Scarlet Tango uses Fire attacks.Glorious CHAOS! 01:27, October 15, 2009 (UTC)

Enemies subsection

Given the amount of Heartless, Nobodies, Unversed and Dream Eaters available, I'd like to do an Enemies subsection. But:

• Do Dream Eaters get their own page, because they are both Spirit and Nightmare?
• Would they use the Userbox Q template?
• What about the other enemies? Standard Userbox or Userbox Q? I ask this especially in the case of the Heartless, because the KHX-style images are like, the best kind to use for userboxes. They're bright and colourful.

• For Dream Eaters, I would use UserboxQ and have a different image and colors for Spirit and Nightmare (and maybe Rare Nightmare).
• For Heartless with multiple images, you could use UserboxQ, but maybe it would be better to just use a choose/option tag for the images, if that's possible.
• For other enemies, it may be better to just use Userbox.

Merging OrgXIII: Series 1 and Series 2

Now that we have Userbox Q... I kinda find Series 2 a bit redundant, and any supplementary versions of the OrgXIII members can be done in the same way that other characters are done. Thoughts? TRSNX 21:39, 21 May 2015 (UTC)

Also, I'd move User:Xehanort Heartless to User:Ansem, because ASOD is still a crumby abbreviation. What distinguishes this from the Ansem the Wise templates is the obvious lack of "The Wise" in the template name.

So, we should replace all links, like replace User Moogle XIII with the OrgXIII version of User Moogle. I think we should replace the User ____ Quote ones with User ____ Q. I agree with ENX on User Diz/Ansem Wise. If we're going to name User Xehanort Heartless User Ansem (and not User ASOD), we should move User ASOD Q to User Ansem Q. And more templates that need to be moved: User Repliku > User Riku Replica User MX > User Master Xehanort (Before you're going to ask, we should split MX, YX and Terra-X) User Terra-Xehanort and User Xehanort need to be merged, since they're the same person. User Buzzerfly > User Queen Buzzerfly (Apparently the Buzzerfly is the small enemy in the boss fight and we may need a template for that one. Actually, ENX, you're the only one using it, so could you change it?) Should we make some kind of notice for the people that use the userboxes that we're going to move, so they can change it themselves?

I was about to say "split Xehanort and Terra-Xehanort, but not Young Xehanort" for the same reason that younger versions of characters get featured in the character userboxes anyway, but are older and younger Xehanort really two distinct personalities to warrant two different userboxes? I view Young Xehanort and Master Xehanort as separate characters, too; what I don't understand is why you are suddenly on a mission to make all the userboxes bland and simple, TNE. Was it not you who was trying to make everything more advanced/witty? I personally think "This user is a fan of ________" is very boring. If we somehow used the Journal entries/in-game descriptions when making userboxes for characters, enemies, etc., we could make things better and more interesting. The reason I have an issue with this is because you wrote the enemy templates so creatively, and now we're going all "blah" with the character templates...majorly inconsistent, methinks! I know we're all busy in some way or another, but I honestly don't have time to edit or change templates the way that you guys do; I can't go and change a template every time I have an issue with it, so I'm just letting you know that the issue exists and needs fixing. That's why I mentioned the Destroyed Behemoth userbox. What I can do, simple as it may be, is offer suggestions, since I want to focus my edits on the mainspace, but I still have a good eye for artistry and fun. Fun is the main thing this Wiki lacks. We really need to bring it back, and the userboxes are a good place to start!

I wasn't meaning it in that way -- I'm all for brightness as you both can plainly see with the templates I've been doing. But with someone like Chernabog, or Maleficent, or anyone who has been devious altogether, if the line is tacky and I just can't think of a witty line, I keep things simple. Normally TSH chips in where he can think of a witty line, and I let him do it -- because he does a good job with it. But as you have seen with my stab with the Claude Frollo template....... I don't take evil lightly, unless I think it's fine and fitting. If I can think of something different with which to replace some of the simpler quotes, I'll do it. (At the moment my priority is getting images and colours sorted.) Also, if younger and older Xehanort should be two templates, then let it be two templates. I updated my message; it's basically the same, but please re-read it when you can. By all means, focus on making the user boxes look wonderful like you've been doing; I can always add in lines from the in-game descriptions/journal entries myself, if I have to. I also basically have all the Disney movies memorized, so if I need to, I can always jazz up a userbox with a quote from one of those... What do you have against evil characters, exactly? Just because they are evil, that does not mean they should be exempt from higher-quality userboxes. For Frollo, as an example, you could always just say "This user is a righteous man." Nothing particularly dark about that line...

Not that I am against evil characters per se; I'd just like some fitting form of line that not only does his personality justice, but does the storyline justice. Quorra and Frollo have gotten two nice stabs (I will admit to liking the "heretic" line; very very fitting for a Catholic-centric film if I do say so myself), but there are some tricky ones. For example, User:Axesword could have the text "This user prefers heavy weapons" and have a variation for every type of axesword (except the signature weapons and maybe the joke weapons, because they could have funny quotes).

If so, then that's fine. I don't think you should merge Terranort with Ansem at all. They are very different characters, despite the fact that Ansem is Terranort's Heartless.

Terranort isn't a Heartless; ASOD is, and their personalities should be kept separate, confusing though it may be. User Xehanort, on the other hand, probably needs deleting. TSH, please show what you intend to do with the weapons userboxes; I'll oblige accordingly. Great work so far (to both of you), by the way -- quotes, ideas and all. For my part, I've reached at least 1,600 userbox images, and counting -- but I enjoy that bit. This monster... This is no Unversed.
