Chapter 3: Sea Salt Ice Cream is the third chapter in the Kingdom Hearts II manga.
Story[edit]
On his way to The Usual Spot, Roxas casually tosses a stick, which ends up hitting a man in a black coat, who walks away without a word. Roxas enters the Usual Spot, where his friends wait, and they eat ice cream together. Hayner comes up with the idea to go to the beach, but they don't have enough money. Hayner runs off, saying he'll take care of it, and ends up getting all of them a job putting up posters. The posters announce a Struggle tournament in two days, and Roxas promises Hayner they'll fight each other in the finals, and split the prize between the four of them.
Meanwhile, the man in the black coat calls DiZ to tell him about the beach trip. DiZ tells him Roxas isn't allowed to leave town.
At the station, the friends have collected enough munny, and Olette gives Roxas the pouch for safekeeping. As he makes his way to the station, a stick is thrown at Roxas, and he falls. The man in the black coat looms over him, and asks him if he can feel Sora. His friends call out to him, and Roxas sees the man has vanished. As they order train tickets, Roxas discovers the munny is missing. Realizing the man in the black coat must have taken it, he prepares to head back, but his friends tell him nobody was around when he fell. At that moment, the train leaves. The four friends end up eating ice cream on top of the clock tower, with Roxas thinking about the man's question.
The next day, Roxas finds a note from Hayner saying they'll go to the beach that day. Pence and Olette appear and explain Hayner got the munny from his uncle. When Roxas responds, Pence and Olette appear frozen. Naminé appears behind Roxas and tells him to come to the Old Mansion, where she will explain things.
