Once you land {{Wtext|Ariel|c}} and {{Wtext|Flounder|c}} will swim towards you from another area, with {{Wtext|Sebastian|c}} tagging along behind. Soon you'll be given a tutorial on how to swim, just follow {{Wtext|Flounder|c}} up and down, then finally {{Wtext|Sebastian|c}} will move along to self-defense but the Heartless arrive to attack. {{Wtext|Ariel|c}} leaves the area while {{Wtext|Sebastian|c}} and {{Wtext|Flounder|c}} hide inside the {{Wtext|oyster|t}}. Attack the Heartless to proceed further. {{Wtext|Ariel|c}} will swim back once the Heartless are gone, then you must attack the {{Wtext|oyster|t}} which will let out {{Wtext|Sebastian|c}} and {{Wtext|Flounder|c}}, and reveal a Save Point as well.

Head towards the area where the trident is pointing to which will lead you to the {{Wtext|Undersea Valley|l}}, head to the right to a {{Wtext|red oyster|t}}, cast {{Wtext|Fire|w}} on it to open it and get a {{Wtext|Mythril Shard|i}}. Now as you'll have noticed {{Wtext|chests|t}} have now become {{Wtext|oysters|t}}, <font color="red">red</font> for {{Wtext|Fire|w}}, <font color="blue">blue</font>  for {{Wtext|Blizzard|w}}, <font color="yellow">yellow</font> for {{Wtext|Thunder|w}}, and plain white ones which open just by hitting them. Now head to the right again into a small alcove where an {{Wtext|oyster|t}} is, open it to get a {{Wtext|Mega-Ether|i}}. Head down from where the {{Wtext|red oyster|t}} is and you'll find another {{Wtext|oyster|t}}, hit it to get a {{Wtext|Mega-Potion|i}}.  Now go up and head north from where the {{Wtext|red oyster|t}} is, there should be two {{Wtext|oysters|t}}, one on a lower platform and the other on a higher platform. The higher one contains an {{Wtext|Elixir|i}}, the lower one contains a {{Wtext|Cottage|i}}. Now head down through the exit to the {{Wtext|Calm Depths|l}}. Now you'll be pushed off by a strong current, if you don't act in time you'll have to go all the way back from the other end of the {{Wtext|Undersea Valley|l}}, take the first right as you're sent across the current. Avoid the current flowing upwards and swim away from all Heartless, keep going ahead to the {{Wtext|Undersea Cave|l}}.

Now head to {{Wtext|Triton's Throne|l}} straight ahead for a cutscene.  Three {{Wtext|Screwdiver|e}}s will be following the party, but {{Wtext|King Triton|c}} vaporizes them before they get too close. He refuses to tell the party about the Keyhole, and forbids {{Wtext|Ariel|c}} from leaving the palace. She swims off with the party following, {{Wtext|Triton|c}} then suggest he's probably being too strict and that he's just concerned of her safety. Then {{Wtext|Sebastian|c}} tells {{Wtext|King Triton|c}} that the Heartless are coming from {{Wtext|Ursula|c}}'s Grotto. Now you're back to playing the party, head back to {{Wtext|Triton's Throne|l}} and open the large {{Wtext|oyster|t}} to reveal a save point, save and head to the {{Wtext|Undersea Gorge|l}} and {{Wtext|Ariel|c}} will as you to go to the far left bottom to {{Wtext|Ariel's Grotto|l}}.

There are four {{Wtext|chests|t}} in this area, one is at the bottom near a clock containing a {{Wtext|Mega-Potion|i}}, another at the 2nd topmost shelf containing a {{Wtext|Torn Page|i}}, the 3rd is on the 4th shelf from the bottom containing a {{Wtext|Cottage|i}} and the last is on the bottom to the right of the first chest containing a {{Wtext|Ether|i}}. Now head back out as {{Wtext|Flotsam and Jetsam|c}} appear, in fact this leads up to the next cutscene where {{Wtext|Ursula|c}} is looking over the progress of {{Wtext|Sora|c}} and the party, she claims they will never find the Keyhole but that {{Wtext|Ariel|c}} would prove useful and that she's got the Heartless on her side to aid her. She then exclaims that {{Wtext|Triton|c}}'s day is coming. Now you'll be back in control of {{Wtext|Sora|c}}, head straight ahead to a {{Wtext|oyster|t}} that contains a {{Wtext|Mega-Ether|i}}. Here there are numerous {{Wtext|chests|t}} here, from the entrance go straight and then drop straight down to find a ship with a broken hull, enter inside to a {{Wtext|chest|t}} that contains an {{Wtext|Elixir|i}}, then get out and go up and into the ship, {{Wtext|Glut|c}} will swim by. Now inside the ship there is a {{Wtext|chest|t}} straight ahead but forget it for now and go to the back of the ship, there's a chest to the left containing a {{Wtext|Mythril Shard|i}}, there is a hole underneath the stairs that leads to a {{Wtext|oyster|t}} containing a {{Wtext|Mythril|i}}, now head back to the {{Wtext|chest|t}} that we left and open it to get the {{Wtext|Crystal Trident|i}}, however {{Wtext|Glut|e}} will appear as you approach the {{Wtext|chest|t}}. Now head back outside, you can fight {{Wtext|Glut|e}} for 100XP. There'll be an exit lower down from the main one, but go to the right of it to get a {{Wtext|chest|t}} containing a {{Wtext|Mythril Shard|i}}, now head through the exit to the {{Wtext|Undersea Gorge|l}}. There's an inactive crater ahead of you, hit it to cause a stronger current, head through it upwards to pop out the large {{Wtext|Treasure Chest|t}}, open it to get an {{Wtext|Orichalcum|i}} then head to {{Wtext|Ariel's Grotto|l}} to the right and swim up to the trident-head shaped emblem for a cutscene.
You'll then be introduced to {{Wtext|Ariel|c}}, {{Wtext|Flounder|c}} and {{Wtext|Sebastian|c}}, who will teach you how to swim. You mostly have to follow {{Wtext|Flounder|c}} around. Soon, a bunch of Heartless will appear, and your new friends will hide in a clam. After defeating the Heartless, attack the clam to let your friends out, revealing a save point (type 2). {{Wtext|Ariel|c}} will then join the party.


Follow the trident marks on the wall to advance with the story. You'll also notice that the Heartless are very different than the ones encountered in other worlds, though the {{Wtext|Search Ghost|e}}s can also be found in {{Wtext|Halloween Town|l}}. There are very few {{Wtext|Treasure Chests|t}} around this world, but there are calms around, which might contain a piece of treasure; just attack them when there are no Heartless nearby to open them. However, three of the clams are in different colors: <font color="red">red</font>, <font color="blue">blue</font> and <font color="gold">yellow</font>. These clams can only be opened with magic; use Fire on the Red Clam, Blizzard on the Blue Clam, and Thunder on the Yellow Clam. If you have not yet completed {{Wtext|Phil|c}}'s training in {{Wtext|Olympus Coliseum|l}}, then you'll have to wait until after defeating {{Wtext|Giant Ursula|b}} to open it.

Swim all the way to {{Wtext|Triton's Palace|l}} and in a cutscene {{Wtext|Triton|c}} is shown weak and helpless on his Throne while {{Wtext|Ursula|c}} basks in the glory of the {{Wtext|Trident|i}}, {{Wtext|Flotsam and Jetsam|c}} note to {{Wtext|Ursula|c}} that the Keyhole is not in the Palace and her exclaiming in shock, however {{Wtext|Sora|c}} and his party make it back to the Palace but {{Wtext|Ursula|c}} makes off with the {{Wtext|Trident|i}}. {{Wtext|Ariel|c}} rejoins the party determined to defeat {{Wtext|Ursula|c}} and get the {{Wtext|Trident|i}} back with {{Wtext|Sebastian|c}} tagging along, before you go, {{Wtext|Triton|c}} gives a small hint on how to defeat {{Wtext|Ursula|b}} by casting magic against her cauldron. Save and head to he {{Wtext|Sunken Ship|l}} map, defeat {{Wtext|Glut|b}} to allow {{Wtext|Sebastian|c}} passage to the button close to the door with the strange glyph on it.

In the {{Wtext|Groto|l}}, the music will change, and you'll notice a trident head-shaped hole on the wall. This place has some {{Wtext|Treasure Chests|t}}, one of which contains a {{Wtext|Torn Page|i}}, which is needed to complete {{Wtext|100 Acre Wood|l}} and get 100% in the game.
 
Now you must follow the {{Wtext|dolphin|c}} that swims around the area back to the {{Wtext|Undersea Valley|l}}. Once you reach that area, grab onto it (make sure there are no Heartless around) and it will take you to the {{Wtext|Sunken Ship|l}}. Inside of the ship, you'll find a treasure chest containing a {{Wtext|Crystal Trident|i}}. However, just before you open it, a shark will smash the ship, creating a hole big enough for the party to go through. He'll appear randomly around Atlantica, so be on your guard and heal whenever your HP gets low, as the shark is quite powerful. Now you must return to the Groto. The easiest way is to use a shortcut found near the ship, and use the rapid water sprout to push a {{Wtext|treasure chest|t}} out of the way.

Once he is defeated, {{Wtext|Sebastian|c}} will open a hidden tunnel leading to the {{Wtext|Den of Tides|l}}. There is a save point at the {{Wtext|Cavern Nook|l}}, so you'll be able to save and heal. At the end of the tunnel, you'll encounter {{Wtext|Ursula|b}}.
After its defeat, examine the button to open a new passage to the {{Wtext|Den of Tides|l}}. In this area go straight but then take the right path to get to the {{Wtext|Cavern Nook|l}} which has two {{Wtext|clams|t}}, open the smaller one to get a {{Wtext|Mega-Ether|i}} and the bigger one for a Save Point. Now return to the fork in the previous area and take the path to the right, go straight ahead to the {{Wtext|Tidal Abyss|l}} then go ahead, defeating the Heartless along the way, to {{Wtext|Ursula's Lair|l}}.

Donald then tells him that his magic can allow them to survive. Sora, Donald and Goofy have now become adapt to undersea life as to Donald's magic. Once you land Ariel and Flounder will swim towards you from another area, with Sebastian tagging along behind. Soon you'll be given a tutorial on how to swim, just follow Flounder up and down, then finally Sebastian will move along to self-defense but the Heartless arrive to attack. Ariel leaves the area while Sebastian and Flounder hide inside the oyster. Attack the Heartless to proceed further. Ariel will swim back once the Heartless are gone, then you must attack the oyster which will let out Sebastian and Flounder, and reveal a Save Point as well.

Ariel rejoins the party determined to defeat Ursula and get the Trident back with Sebastian tagging along, before you go, Triton gives a small hint on how to defeat Ursula by casting magic against her cauldron. Save and head to he Sunken Ship map, defeat Glut to allow Sebastian passage to the button close to the door with the strange glyph on it.

For this fight you'll need lots of Ethers or you can keep attacking Flotsam and Jetsam for extra MP. Use Fire on her cauldron when it's red and Blizzard when it's blue. When done right she will be stunned momentarily allowing you to land a few combos on her. Once she's gained consciousness she'll twist about her tentacles causing massive damage. Cast Aero for any needed help against her attacks. Use Potions to heal.

After defeating her, she'll disapear into what appears to be a portal. You'll then learn Mermaid Kick, which is needed to reach Ursula for the second battle with her

After defeating Ursula, you'll be taken back to the palace, where King Triton will tell you that the world's Keyhole is in Ariel's Groto. Head to the Groto (don't worry about the Heartless now, since they won't attack the party now), and then Ariel will use the trident to reveal the Keyhole, ending Atlantica's story.

If you want to get a 100% completion, you will need to return to Atlantica to perform Trinity Detect, which can be found in Triton's Palace.
