Bright is a category of materials from the Kingdom Hearts series that is used in Item Synthesis. Representing vitality, Bright materials appear in Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II, but take on very different roles between the two.

The Bright materials were known as the "Moisture" materials in the original Japanese versions.

Kingdom Hearts

Like many of the synthesis materials in Kingdom Hearts, the Bright materials were only available in three forms: Bright Shard, Bright Gem, and Bright Crystal. They essentially remained unchanged in purpose or drop rate in Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix.

The Bright materials not only added a new type, Bright Stone, but changed their use drastically. They became a "modifier" material, meaning they were not used to make items themselves but to improve upon the quality of the items made. Bright materials granted the Moogle who ran the synthesis shop double the experience points an item was worth when they were added to the recipe. They could be added to any recipe as long as the correct kind for that item was in Sora's possession. Along with the Energy materials, the Bright materials are available to use from the moment synthesis is opened. They were assigned the color green to separate them visually from other materials.
