Slapshot is a move that replaces one of Sora's attacks when up close to an enemy. It is a quick uppercut slash with low recovery, and costs 2 AP to equip, it is one of the few FM abilities to be in international releases of Kingdom Hearts, starting with Kingdom Hearts 2 and in other games as well.
In Final Mix, the attack was a lunging uppercut. The move would then reappear in Kingdom Hearts 2 and its remake, where it was a simple flick-like swing with a jerking lift-like effect. Somehow in 358/2 Days, Roxas and Xion also had the ability by natural default, with it looking similar to KH2, but with a golf-swing like effect instead.
The move's name is based off of a Blitzball move from Final Fantasy X.
