The Ribbon in Kingdom Hearts is an accessory, and is found quite late in the game because of its power. The easiest way to obtain a Ribbon is to find 90 of the lost Dalmatian puppies. It can also be synthesized once List IV is unlocked in the Traverse Town Moogle Shop, but requires collecting 23 items to do so, including three of the rare Gale material.

Kingdom Hearts II
In Kingdom Hearts II, Ribbon becomes an armor. One of the most powerful in the game, it is an upgrade of the Petit Ribbon using a Serenity Gem. It can also be considered something of an upgrade to the Acrisius. Much like its lesser form, it offers strong defense and protection against all four elements; while it does not offer as strong elemental protection as Acrisius+, it does offer stronger defense. An Rank A item like Petit Ribbon, Ribbon offers 24 synthesis experience when made.
An "upgraded" version, Highest Ribbon, can only be found in Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+.
