Template:Enemy The Red Nocturne is an Emblem Heartless found in Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, and Kingdom Hearts coded.

Design

A Red Nocturne has a smooth, conical, red body with a Heartless emblem emblazoned on its chest. The top of its body flares outward and forms a jagged "collar" below the Heartless's spherical, pitch black head. It also wears a conical, yellow hat that has a jagged brim and a thin, curled tip. Like many Heartless, the Red Nocturne has glowing yellow eyes. Its seemingly useless feet sport three small, thin toes.

Like other Heartless in its family, the Red Nocturne's name is comprised of a color—in this case, red—and a musical term—in this case, a nocturne, which is usually a musical composition that is inspired by, or evocative of, the night.

Strategy

Attacks

  • Fire Missiles:
  • Flames with cannons:

Red Nocturnes utilize Fire magic, although they treat it very much like Blizzard magic in that they shoot it. In compensation, Red Nocturnes are weak to Blizzard magic, which deals a large amount of damage, as well as awarding Sora Tech Points. Because they are Fire-like enemies, Red Nocturnes absorb any kind of Fire spell cast upon them by any party member.

If timed correctly, Sora can earn Tech Points for blocking attacks.[1][2][3][4]

Notes and references

  1. ^ Before Kairi's rescue, 1 and 2 Tech Points can be earned for blocking the Fire Missile in both Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, respectively. An additional 2 Tech Points can be earned if the Fire Missile attack is deflected back at the Red Nocturne in both Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts Final Mix.
  2. ^ Before Kairi's rescue, additional Tech Points can be earned by casting certain Magic. For casting Blizzard and Gravity, 2 Tech Points can be earned in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix.
  3. ^ After Kairi's rescue, 12 Tech Points can be earned for blocking the Fire Missile attack in Kingdom Hearts
  4. ^ After Kairi's rescue, additional Tech Points can be earned by casting certain Magic. For casting Blizzard, 9 Tech Points can be earned in Kingdom Hearts.
