The information revealed seems to show that the game still follows the story set in Kingdom Hearts coded. In the story, set after the conclusion of Kingdom Hearts II, Jiminy Cricket finds an entry in his journal that he didn't write. In an attempt to learn where it came from, King Mickey turns the journal into data, and creates Data Sora in order to explore it. But in this adventure there are bugs to deal with...
