Shan-Yu is fought as a boss in the The Land of Dragons. During the battle, Sora must protect the palace gates from being destroyed. Shan-Yu summons Nightwalker Heartless to assist him, and they drop morale orbs which can refill the health of the gates. The reaction command for Shan-Yu is Press, in which he and Sora cross weapons . After tapping Triangle, Sora can use Takedown to stun Shan-Yu and deliver a combo. Shan-Yu attacks with various sword swipes, including one where he spins into the air swinging. When weak, he summons a dark aura and will charge forward several times in a row.

The battle should not be difficult, as Shan-Yu is likely one of Sora's first bosses. Usage of Valor Form and Mulan's Red Rocket Limit will ultimately make Shan-Yu easy to defeat, as long as Sora protects the gates.

Hints

• Hayabusa also battles, but he is easy to deafeat. Unfortunatly, he comes back after awhile.
