Defense Boost, also called Defense Up, is an item that can be obtained in the Kingdom Hearts series. Defense Boosts will permanently increase a character's Defense stat by one. This item can only be used from the items menu after it is obtained.

• Defense Up: chest at the First District; mail 9 Postcards; chest at the Bizarre Room; complete the Pegasus Cup in under three minutes; complete the Panic Fall course of Jungle Slider; chest at the Treasure Room; chest at the Bridge; two chests at the Clock Tower; give Owl the second Rare Nut; chest at the Rising Falls; two chests at the Gate to the Dark.

• Defense Boost: Obtain 30 material types; obtain all Bright materials; chest at Piglet's House.

• Defense Boost: Obtain 30 material types; obtain all Bright materials; chest at Piglet's House; reward for defeating Xigbar's, Xaldin's, and Saïx's Replica Data at the Garden of Assemblage.
