Blizzard (ブリザド Burizado?), often referred to as Ice, is an element in the Kingdom Hearts series. It is considered the opposite of Fire, and is usually associated with Frost materials and the Freeze status effect.

Attacks and abilities

In Kingdom Hearts series, both allies and enemies can utilize Blizzard as their attacks. It mostly appears as Blizzard magic, which has appeared in every game as an offensive spell. Some party members can use Blizzard-based abilities as well. In some games, there are also other attacks that use Blizzard-elements, such as Blizzard Raid, Freeze, and Icicle Mine. Blizzard Resistance

Blizzard Resistance is a recurring stat in the Kingdom Hearts series. Increasing it through various means will reduce the amount of damage taken from Blizzard attacks. In most games in the series, Blizzard Resistance can be raised by equipping accessories or, in Kingdom Hearts II, armor. In Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, some Enemy Cards have resistance or weakness to Blizzard as a secondary effect. Blizzard Resistance is raised in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep by equipping the Blizzard Screen ability, and in Kingdom Hearts Re:coded by equipping Blizzard Resistance Stat Chips in the Stat Matrix (see above).

In Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, ice resistance only protects against the freeze status, not against Blizzard damage.
