Seifer Almasy is a boss in Twilight Town. He is originally from Final Fantasy VIII, being Leon's adversary. He can be fought on the First Day and before every Struggle battle on the Fourth Day. After the struggle on the Fifth Day you can fight him again 'mano a mano', but you do not have to. This is a good time to level up early on, as you are awarded 13 exp. each time you beat him. After beating him once, simply leave the Sandlot and return again to find him ready for another fight. This is best done as soon as possible, before setting out to search for the Seven Wonders. Later, in Sora's story, after winning ten battles against both Hayner and Setzer, Seifer is again a boss, this time for a Struggle.

Strategy

Seifer is always on his guard. His normal stance is guarded, so you'll hit him and be deflected. However, he is easy to defeat as he has lower health than Hayner or Setzer.

Seifer's main attacks are a basic slash and spin attack. Both are easy to parry, so attack when you have the chance. You should easily be able to deflect his attack and return with a combo.

After several combos, he is likely to jump high into the air, saying "Isn't this romantic?". He will then come down with his blade outward. The best way to avoid this is to run toward him, as the attack has limited range. You can also simply walk behind him as he descends, so his attack passes right over you without danger of being hit.

Do not jump into the air whilst Seifer is performing this move, because he will hit you regardless of whether you are parrying or not and send you flying. The only way to recover from this as Roxas is by using the Aerial Recovery technique.

You can also use magic to damage him as Sora.

If you are doing a rapid attack due to something like a berserk charge, Seifer will block the next attack, spin toward you and attack. Beware of this and make sure the finishing combo is usable.
