Rabid Dog (マッドドッグ Maddodoggu, "Mad Dog" in the Japanese version) is an Emblem Heartless that appeared in Kingdom Hearts II in the Underworld. It has a blue dog-like appearance with the Heartless symbol on its behind, and mostly relies on instincts during battle. A pack of them are seen attacking Meg in the Underworld, before getting scared off by Sora. The Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+ version of the Rabid Dog is pink.
Rabid Dogs are one of the most harmless enemies. Most of the time, they will stand, and look at Sora, falling asleep from time to time. However, sometimes they may bark, which causes a sound wave, dealing a large amount of damage, especially at low levels. On Proud mode, their attack is truly devastating. Rabid Dogs tend to appear in packs.
A perverse, infernal, fiendish variation of it can be found on the Cavern of Remembrance called Bark Hound.

It won't move until approached, so move in swiftly and attack.
It becomes tired and lets its guard down after counterattacks. Attack then for an easy battle.
