The Save the King shield has been Goofy's ultimate weapon throughout the series, however the method of obtaining it is different from game to game.

Kingdom Hearts

The shield is obtained by defeating the time attack variant of the Hades Cup.

Kingdom Hearts II

The shield is obtained by synthesis. There is another variant, Save the King +, which has no difference in power, but has a different ability.
