:I'm pretty sure it's mentioned in CoM; at the very least, they talk about how she showed up. ::I can't remember any background information of Kairi revealed in CoM (and there is nothing to be found in this [http://www.gamefaqs.com/gba/919011-kingdom-hearts-chain-of-memories/faqs/34162 script] too).
