The Power materials, like the other major synthesis materials in the game, came in three forms: Shard, Gem, and Crystal.  Like many of the other materials, they also acquired a fourth form, Stone, in ''[[Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix]]''.

Like many of the basic synthesis materials, the Power materials went virtually unchanged between the games; the Stone version was included in the regular game this time.  They are also one of the basic eight materials, and so collecting 30 Power Shards, 25 Power Stones, or 20 Power Gems will unlock those items for purchase in the [[Moogle]] synthesis shop.  Power materials were assigned a dark blue color to distinguish them from the other materials.
