===First Visit===
You are introduced to {{Wtext|Traverse Town|l}} after completing [[Walkthrough:Kingdom Hearts/Destiny Islands|Destiny Islands]]. During the initial cutscene, {{Wtext|Donald|c}}, {{Wtext|Goofy|c}} and {{Wtext|Pluto|c}} are shown walking into {{Wtext|Traverse Town|l}}, where they notice {{Wtext|Destiny Islands|l}}'s star going out in the night sky. They walk off to go find {{Wtext|Leon|c}}. {{Wtext|Pluto|c}} goes off and finds {{Wtext|Sora|c}}. {{Wtext|Sora|c}} notices he's in another World, he wonders about it and walks off to find {{Wtext|Pluto|c}}. And now you're back in control...

First thing you'll want to do is go into the {{Wtext|Accessory Shop|l}} and save, it is vital to save from now on. Once you're introduced to {{Wtext|Cid|c}}, jump onto a cabinet near the door and open the {{Wtext|Treasure Chest|t}} to get a {{Wtext|Mythril Shard|i}}. It is of no use right now, but it will be useful later on in the game. Go back out and enter the {{Wtext|2nd District|l}}. You will witness a citizen losing their heart to a {{Wtext|Soldier|e}}, an Emblem Heartless. Now you have to fight a group of {{Wtext|Shadows|e}}, they're easy now considering you've leveled up a bit. As you can see, you now gain [[Munny]], allowing you to purchase an abundance of items, armor and weapons. Walk over into the {{Wtext|Gizmo Shop|l}}, and as you enter, {{Wtext|Donald|c}} and {{Wtext|Goofy|c}} are shown walking out of the {{Wtext|Hotel|l}} wondering where {{Wtext|Leon|c}} is. Next, go into the {{Wtext|Alleyway|l}} through the door near the fountain underneath the {{Wtext|Hotel|l}}. Yet again, Donald and Goofy will exit the {{Wtext|Hotel|l}} again to call out to {{Wtext|Leon|c}}. Go back to the {{Wtext|2nd District|l}} and enter the '''Hotel'''. Donald and Goofy will have just walked back into the {{Wtext|2nd District|l}}, ''again''. Now go back to the {{Wtext|2nd District|l}} and walk into the {{Wtext|Dalmatians's House|l}}, and {{Wtext|Donald|c}} and {{Wtext|Goofy|c}} will walk out of the {{Wtext|Gizmo Shop|l}}. Now that we have made them walk around in circles, go back to the {{Wtext|1st District|l}}, you'll be surprised to find Heartless there as it is a haven for NPCs. Avoid the Heartless or battle them, then go to the {{Wtext|Accessory Shop|l}} and talk to {{Wtext|Cid|c}}, where he'll give you a small tidbit of advice. Leave after you are done talking to him.

Now a cutscene begins where you are introduced to this "{{Wtext|Leon|c}}". Now a small battle with {{Wtext|Leon|b}} begins. Whether you win or lose, you still continue through the game.

|strategy=There is no penalty for losing except for the extra EXP and an {{Wtext|Elixir|i}} down the line. What you want to do is avoid all his attacks and attack when he's open. A few cutscenes then occur, the first one is short and shows {{Wtext|Yuffie|c}} cheering Leon for finding the [[Keyblade]]. Second shows {{Wtext|Donald|c}} and {{Wtext|Goofy|c}} walking through the {{Wtext|Alleyway|l}}, where {{Wtext|Aerith|c}} appears to them, she seems to know the King too. The third shows {{Wtext|Sora|c}} finally regaining consciousness and imagines {{Wtext|Kairi|c}} talking to him, when it is really {{Wtext|Yuffie|c}}. Now a long connected story between {{Wtext|Sora|c}}, {{Wtext|Leon|c}}, {{Wtext|Yuffie|c}} and {{Wtext|Donald|c}}, {{Wtext|Goofy|c}}, {{Wtext|Aerith|c}}. This explains the whole story behind {{Wtext|Sora|c}} having the Keyblade. After you regain control of {{Wtext|Sora|c}}, save. Next, talk to {{Wtext|Leon|c}} and he'll tell you that the Keyblade can do multiple things beside being used as a weapon. You can use it to open {{Wtext|Treasure Chests|t}} all around the world, like this one on the table. Open it and you'll get an {{Wtext|Elixir|i}}. Now go back and talk to {{Wtext|Leon|c}}, you're asked if you're ready and if you are, you are in for a challenge. {{Wtext|Soldiers|e}} appear. You're now placed in the {{Wtext|Alleyway|l}}, where you can defeat the {{Wtext|Soldiers|e}}. However, it's best not to because you need to find the biggest Heartless, as per {{Wtext|Leon|c}}'s words.

Now, you can either rush your way to the {{Wtext|3rd District|l}}, or you can take your time and battle a number of Heartless to level up. We'd suggest the latter, so as to be ready and prepared for a significantly more difficult boss, at least for now. Once you're ready to go against the boss of this world, enter the {{Wtext|3rd District|l}}. While we suggest you wait until you get [[Scan]], it will take an awfully long time to gain the ability, so fighting it with Scan might not be worth the extra time.

Now a cutscene plays, which is essentially the prelude to the boss battle. {{Wtext|Donald|c}} and {{Wtext|Goofy|c}} are on a balcony above {{Wtext|Sora|c}}, there is an explosion above throwing {{Wtext|Donald|c}} and {{Wtext|Goofy|c}} to {{Wtext|Sora|c}}. However once they find out that {{Wtext|Sora|c}} wields the Keyblade, the area is sealed off. Now you have to defeat the numerous {{Wtext|Soldiers|e}} to make the {{Wtext|Guard Armor|b}} appear.

|strategy=First thing you want to do is get rid of its hands. They will only do harm if you leave them last because they are hard to dodge. While with the feet, you can easily jump once they're about to strike. To get rid of them, attack and then get out of the way once they take position to attack. If you get hit, use a {{Wtext|Hi-Potion|i}} to recover health. Once they're gone, get rid of the feet as they are the next lethal thing besides the hands. They're easy to get rid of since button mashing will automatically reflect back their attacks. Again, once they're done, redirect all attack power towards the Torso, once it's defeated you are done. It should be easy considering you keep pressing Attack.}}

The {{Wtext|Guard Armor|b}} finally loses control and its Heart disappears into the sky. You get {{Wtext|Brave Warrior|a}} for your battle efforts. Next a cutscene plays, where {{Wtext|Sora|c}}, {{Wtext|Donald|c}}, and {{Wtext|Goofy|c}} team up to find {{Wtext|Riku|c}}, {{Wtext|Kairi|c}}, and the King. The following cutscene shows {{Wtext|Maleficent|c}} and her gang of Disney villains planning on how to get {{Wtext|Sora|c}} closer to them and initially plan on using {{Wtext|Riku|c}}. And finally, after the last cutscene of {{Wtext|Traverse Town|l}}, you are given 100{{KH}}/500{{FM}} Munny from the whole Final Fantasy gang; if you beat {{Wtext|Leon|c}} earlier, he'll also throw in an {{Wtext|Elixir|i}} as a bonus. You also get {{Wtext|Fire|w}} from {{Wtext|Donald|c}}, and {{Wtext|Goofy|c}} gives you the {{Wtext|Dodge Roll|w}} ability, which is '''''extremely''''' handy. Go back to the {{Wtext|Accessory Shop|l}} and save. Then when you're ready, go out and make your way to '''[[Walkthrough:Kingdom Hearts/Wonderland|Wonderland]]'''. Unless you'd prefer '''[[Walkthrough:Kingdom Hearts/Olympus Coliseum|Olympus Coliseum]]'''.

The Post Sidequest is also unlocked now, but you'll need to have obtained {{Wtext|Thunder|w}} as well as complete {{Wtext|Monstro|l}} to finish this.

===Second Visit===
Drop into the {{Wtext|1st District|l}}, go to the alleyway where {{Wtext|Sora|c}} you started your journey and there should be a {{Wtext|Red Trinity|i}} on the planks of wood blocking the passage, use it. It should lead to a closed-off area in the {{Wtext|Alleyway|l}} with a {{Wtext|chest|t}}, open it to get Dalmatians 4, 5 and 6. Go back to the {{Wtext|1st District|l}} and go into the {{Wtext|2nd District|l}} and head to the {{Wtext|Alleyway|l}} through the door near the fountain. Head to the metal bars blocking off entry at the far right and use the {{Wtext|Red Trinity|i}} there, it'll break the bars allowing you to get to the {{Wtext|Secret Waterway|l}}. Talk to {{Wtext|Leon|c}} and he'll tell you to talk to {{Wtext|Cid|c}} for the strange gummi pieces and he'll give you {{Wtext|Earthshine|i}}, we have no idea what it does yet. Go into the {{Wtext|Dalmatian's House|l}} and go all the way to the first room, {{Wtext|Pongo|c}} and {{Wtext|Perdita|c}} will give you a number of gifts. If you have been following the walkthrough so far, you should have gotten {{Wtext|Curaga-G|i}} and {{Wtext|Firaga-G|i}}.

Head to the {{Wtext|1st District|l}} then into the {{Wtext|Accessory Shop|l}}, talk to {{Wtext|Cid|c}} and he'll offer to install those gummi pieces, now Navigational gummis, onto the ship, but in exchange you'll have to deliver the {{Wtext|Old Book|i}} to the man in the {{Wtext|3rd District|l}}. The bell will ring, it probably indicates something but let's forget about it now. Head to the {{Wtext|3rd District|l}}, drop down to the open area where you fought the {{Wtext|Guard Armor|b}} and turn left, there should be a red door with a flame on it, cast {{Wtext|Fire|w}} on the door and a tune will play indicating something, basically you opened the door. Head in and you'll end up in the {{Wtext|Mystical House|l}}. Jump across each moving stone to get to the island and then go through a hole in the wall. A cutscene will play, showing {{Wtext|Kairi|c}} appearing out of nowhere, but it's just his imagination. {{Wtext|Merlin|c}} will arrive and furnish the area and explain to you that he is here to train you in the arts of magic, and not just him but the {{Wtext|Fairy Godmother|c}} will also appear to help you as well. Head to her once you're back in control to see what she can do for you; nothing yet it seems, she just tells you how worried she is about {{Wtext|Cinderella|c}}. Talk to {{Wtext|Merlin|c}} again, looks like the book is his. We recommend you do the book later on in the game as now you will only be offered a tutorial-like chapter since all the pages are torn, and now we're back to the {{Wtext|Fairy Godmother|c}}, she will transform the {{Wtext|Earthshine|i}} gem into {{Wtext|Simba|c}}, a summon you can use in battle.

Head to the save point and save, and {{Wtext|Merlin|c}} will suggest you go see {{Wtext|Cid|c}}, remember when he told us he would be at the house in the {{Wtext|3rd District|l}}? Head there and... Heartless, but who's that? {{Wtext|Riku|c}}. An argument occurs and {{Wtext|Sora|c}} thinks they'll run into {{Wtext|Kairi|c}} soon. But first, go to the large keyhole and examine it, it'll open the door between the 1st and 3rd Districts, now head to the house, climb the stairs and it's straight ahead. You'll find out that all these characters were from another world of their own that {{Wtext|Maleficent|c}} had taken from them, along with {{Wtext|Ansem's Report|i}} but then another segment where she is persuading {{Wtext|Riku|c}} to join her side. {{Wtext|Cid|c}} will give you a {{Wtext|Warp-G|i}} to warp between worlds and the others suggest going to the bell above the {{Wtext|Gizmo Shop|l}}. Head up there and use the {{Wtext|Red Trinity|i}}, ring the bell three times and the Keyhole of this world will appear, jump down and get ready for a boss fight.

|strategy=Now the first thing you want to do is take out the foot-hands, they hit hard and take a big chunk of HP off. After one is down collect all the HP balls. Dodge its kicks and shoves during this so as to not lose and HP. Retaliate by taking off its other hand. Then move onto the feet... hands, take both of them out and all that's left is the torso. The torso won't do any hard-hitting attacks but it will spin around which is easily cured by {{Wtext|Cure|w}}. Keep attacking during this phase.}}

After defeating the bosses, {{Wtext|Sora|c}} will then be able to seal the Keyhole for {{Wtext|Traverse Town|l}}. You'll get another Navigational gummi, so speak to {{Wtext|Cid|c}} about that, he'll also give you a free {{Wtext|Comet-G|i}}. You'll also now be able to head towards {{Wtext|Agrabah|l}}.

===Third Visit===
Once returned from {{Wtext|Neverland|l}}, drop down to the {{Wtext|1st District|l}} and go talk to {{Wtext|Cid|c}} beside the {{Wtext|Accessory Shop|l}} to install the {{Wtext|Navi-G Piece|i}}, soon in a cutscene {{Wtext|Sora|c}} will complain about {{Wtext|Donald|c}} and {{Wtext|Goofy|c}} being so cheerful when their King is nowhere to be found, but {{Wtext|Goofy|c}} says that they just believe they'll find him eventually, and {{Wtext|Sora|c}} remembers {{Wtext|Kairi|c}}'s words and in a vision is flying towards a bright light and ends up in the library of {{Wtext|Hollow Bastion|c}} where an old woman is telling a story to young {{Wtext|Kairi|c}}. She speaks of the people bathing in the warmth of the light and that soon people fought for it, and that Darkness was born in their hearts and it spread swallowing their hearts along with the world. But some fragments of light survived in the hearts of children and the children then rebuilt the world and true light hides deep in the Darkness and soon a door will open to the innermost Darkness revealing the true light. Believing in light will push away the Darkness. And then the old woman disappears. {{Wtext|Sora|c}} reaches out to {{Wtext|Kairi|c}} but she disappears and he returns to himself. Soon {{Wtext|Cid|c}} returns and says that "that" place is crawling with Heartless. And {{Wtext|Sora|c}} is confused but {{Wtext|Cid|c}} doesn't explain and gives {{Wtext|Sora|c}} a {{Wtext|Transform-G|i}}. Head into the {{Wtext|Accessory Shop|l}} and use the {{Wtext|Green Trinity|i}}.

Climb up the ladder to get into the {{Wtext|Item Workshop|l}}, interact with the poster on the left to get a {{Wtext|Postcard|i}}, then open the {{Wtext|chests|t}} in the back, one contains Dalmatians 7, 8 and 9 while the other contains a {{Wtext|Mythril Shard|i}}. Head back out the door and go to the {{Wtext|Geppetto's House|l}}. {{Wtext|Pinnochio|c}} and {{Wtext|Geppetto|c}} are inside, and they'll tell you {{Wtext|Leon|c}} helped them get here and gave them this house. And he hands you a Gummi Blueprint called {{Wtext|Geppetto|i}}. Open the {{Wtext|chest|t}} to the left to get the {{Wtext|Wishing Star|w}}, then head to the far left and examine the pot to get a {{Wtext|Postcard|i}}. Go back out and jump on top of the {{Wtext|Item Workshop|l}} then jump from the front and glide across to the other end and get back up. Open the {{Wtext|chest|t}} there to get a {{Wtext|Postcard|i}}. Then head to the {{Wtext|2nd District|l}} and go to the right and jump onto the awning and open the {{Wtext|chest|t}} there to get another {{Wtext|Postcard|i}}. Jump to the top of the building and go to the left near the {{Wtext|3rd District|l}} exit and open the {{Wtext|chest|t}} there to get a {{Wtext|Mythril Shard|i}}. Then head through the small square exit just ahead. Defeat all the Heartless and interact with the corner to get another {{Wtext|Postcard|i}}. Then jump down and head behind the fountain and use the {{Wtext|Blue Trinity|i}} there, then head to the {{Wtext|Mystical House|i}}.

Head around the back of the house and glide to the {{Wtext|chest|t}}, open it to get Dalmatians 1, 2 and 3. Then head inside the {{Wtext|Magician's Study|l}}, use the {{Wtext|Blue Trinity|i}} and then use the save point to go to {{Wtext|Neverland|l}}, then from there to the new World.

===Fourth Visit===
Once back from {{Wtext|Hollow Bastion|l}} you'll automatically be in the {{Wtext|Small House|l}}. {{Wtext|Sora|c}} tells {{Wtext|Leon|c}} about all that happened in {{Wtext|Hollow Bastion|l}}. After the cutscene, head to the {{Wtext|2nd District|l}}, then from there to the {{Wtext|Alleyway|l}}, from here jump onto the balconies overhead, beside the {{Wtext|Red Room|l}} on the balcony to its left, there is a {{Wtext|chest|t}} with a {{Wtext|Potion|i}} inside. Head into the {{Wtext|Secret Waterway|l}} and use the {{Wtext|White Trinity|i}} to call unto a {{Wtext|chest|t}}, inside it is an {{Wtext|Orichalcum|i}}. From here head inside the arch and to the left there is another {{Wtext|chest|t}} with Dalmatians 10, 11 and 12. Head to the {{Wtext|Dalmatians's House|l}} to get another collection of prizes. They'll give you a {{Wtext|Thundara-G|i}}, a {{Wtext|Mythril Shard|i}}, a {{Wtext|Torn Page|i}}, a {{Wtext|Mythril|i}} and a {{Wtext|Megalixir|i}}. Now head to the {{Wtext|1st District|l}} and go to the Café and use the {{Wtext|Blue Trinity|i}} and open the {{Wtext|chest|t}} on the balcony to get a {{Wtext|Postcard|i}}. Drop down and put out the candles by using {{Wtext|Blizzard|w}} magic and then open the chest to get a {{Wtext|Defense Up|i}}. Then head into the {{Wtext|Item Shop|l}} and hit the fan to get a {{Wtext|Postcard|i}}. Then head to the {{Wtext|World Exit|l}} but don't go through it, to its left there is a {{Wtext|Blue Trinity|i}}, use it to get Munny. Head to where {{Wtext|Cid|c}} is and open the blue safe to get a {{Wtext|Postcard|i}}. Now head to the {{Wtext|3rd District|l}} and cast {{Wtext|Thunder|w}} on the exposed wires, then head to the {{Wtext|Gizmo Shop|l}} and jump to the top ledges of the area, press all 3 buttons and drop down to the clock in the middle of the area, examine it to get the last 2 {{Wtext|Postcards|i}}. Head back to the {{Wtext|1st District|l}} and place them all in the red mailbox. You should get these items:<br>

Now head to {{Wtext|Cid|c}} and talk to him, he'll tell you to get he {{Wtext|Navi-Gummi|i}} he hid 9 years ago in the {{Wtext|Secret Waterway|l}}, head there and talk to {{Wtext|Kairi|c}}. But while on your way there, in the {{Wtext|Alleyway|l}} there are two {{Wtext|chests|t}}, one on the very end of the roof near the Blue Room containing a {{Wtext|Pretty Stone|i}} and the other in the small area near some crates and a barrel containing a {{Wtext|Potion|i}}. Once you've talked to {{Wtext|Kairi|c}} she'll have told you about the mural, as you can see it's changed from a Moon to a Sun, walk up to it and from it the {{Wtext|Navi-Gummi|i}} will come out of it changing it from a Sun to a Moon again. Now go back to {{Wtext|Kairi|c}} and talk to her again. During the cutscene she'll give you her lucky charm so she can be with you. And you get the {{Wtext|Oathkeeper|w}} from it, the Keyblade that signifies her light. Head to {{Wtext|Cid|c}} again to install the Gummi piece for you. Now head through the {{Wtext|World Exit|l}} and set sail for {{Wtext|Hollow Bastion|l}}.

Once you've done the {{Wtext|100 Acre Wood|l}}, reached halfway through the {{Wtext|End of the World|l}} and done almost all cups, return to the {{Wtext|Fairy Godmother|c}} to get the summons {{Wtext|Dumbo|c}}, {{Wtext|Bambi|c}} and {{Wtext|Mushu|c}}. Since you have obtained all summons, the {{Wtext|Fairy Godmother|c}} will grant you {{Wtext|Lord Fortune|w}}, a weapon for {{Wtext|Donald|c}}.
