The description is followed with the journal's record, and as to obtain the UW, you have to finish reverse rebirth, re-load Sora's game, and find it in the Moogle Shop(random) or Random key to rewards in Castle Oblivion--N/A

Synthesis ?

It's possible to get Save The Queen+ and Save The King+, but is ever possible to get a + version of Ultima Weapon ? From both the synthesis lists I've seen in KHII and KHIIFM, there's an extra slot below Ultima Weapon, implying that there is an enhanced version of it. Has anyone done this before ? TALK - For most things I would agree (though the central wiki does suggest a description for those readers whose computers aren't fast enough to handle the images), but the Keyblades are heavily symbolic - especially the tokens, which few people recognize. But you're right, we were wrong about the Dream Sword.

Even if the image is right there, like Kryten said, Keyblades have details that not always are visible at first sight. I, for example, are the type of person to pass by that kind of details. The "symbolism" is entirely speculation. Beyond the most obvious, such as the Greek theme to the Olympus Keyblades, saying things like "the heart in this Keyblade represents the time Sora became a Heartless" is silly and grasping at straws. If there's something to be said about the appearance, then it shouldn't be two paragraphs and given its own section. Interobangu 04:58, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

The "Appearance" section is standard for all keyblades. Maybe the description was a bit lengthy, but it's not really affecting or taking away from the article. Sometimes, the wiki acts up and the images don't show (for some, at least), so the description is the only way someone can identify it. Moogle Rank

There's three possible Ranks I could see as the requirement. I think 4 is the applicable one, but I'm unsure of the exact mechanics of using Serenity Crystals in this recipe.

1. Level 2 (Novice Moogle) - Brightness or Energy Materials can be used in recipes.
2. Level 3 (Junior Moogle) - Serenity Materials can be used.
3. Level 4 (Skilled Moogle) - Two kinds of special materials (Brightness, Energy, or Serenity) can be selected at a time.

Obviously, you need to be able to use the Energy Crystal, so you must be at least Rank 2. However, I'm unsure of whether the Level 3 upgrade refers to using Serenity Materials at all, or just as a modifier. Also, I'm unsure of whether the Serenity Crystals in the Recipe still count as a modifiers.

Is there anyone here who's gotten to the end of the game without synthesizing? If so, can you get the recipe and ingredients, and then check what level you have to be at to synthesize the Ultima Weapon?Glorious CHAOS! 00:38, November 13, 2009 (UTC)

The Strength is 7 and the Magic is 6. There are keyblades with higher stats in one category or another (Chaos Reaper, Bright Crest, etc.) but the Ultima has the best all around stats. Its obtained by completing the Mirage Arena. Not sure what it's caption is. AsanoHa 03:04, February 9, 2010 (UTC)

Synthesis

It appears that the Ultima Weapon could be synthesized with 4 Orichalcum+s. I haven't done this myself, but if the Moogles are leveled up to 9 (so that rank S items' materials are cut in half) AND an Energy Crystal is provided, it appears to cut it in half again. This was tested with Power Boost, and I was able to decrease Blazing/Lightning/Lucid Crystal requirements from 3->2 with level 9 Moogles then 2->1 with an Energy Crystal. Edge of Ultima in 2.5 HD ReMIX

Should we make note of the fact that in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX, according to this video at 3:17, that the "Edge of Ultima" is translated as "Frontier of Ultima?" This is most likely insignificant, but I thought I'd point it out. The X-blade page mentions this one in the design section. Considering the in-universe chronology, should we perhaps mention the X-blade here as well?
