Contact Hades?

It says that he was meant to contact Hades but fails. Why did he have to contact Hades? - Sencilia

But I think he was sending a message to Hades from Xemnas when he was frightened by the curse of the underworld, or even Hades himself. But I think he got as close as the first bit of the area where you have to flee after Auron joins the party before runing away (which made Sora say "Okay?!").

KrytenKoro - "Give a man a fire and he's warm for the day. But set fire to him and he's warm for the rest of his life." TALK - I don't remember this being mentioned in KH2 - he was just trying to get the Olympus Stone. Maybe we should remove it until it is published?

I have a stupid theory here, but maybe Xemnas wanted to make an alliance with Hades, and he knew that Hades was a hothead ( I know I know pretty pathetic joke there ) and sent Demyx becuase he doesn't like Demyx or something. So Demyx gets all hey how bout you work with my boss with him and Hades gets all like NO! and starts attacking Demyx. So Demyx can't hurt Hades without that Stone and flees screaming RUN AWAY! then hears about the stone somehow, steals it to get back at Hades for making him look like a crybaby. Pretty pathetic, but thats all I got . . .

The Organization isn't concerned with meeting Disney villains, that's Maleficent's modus operandi. He was in the Underworld in an attempt to get the Olympus Stone. Because of his incompetence he got lost and met up with Hades who's obviously not too happy about klutzy hydromaniacs in his home.

Hades is the Lord of The Dead. Xemnas might have been wanting to contact hades to make some sort of deal with him. maybe something along the lines of making it so they cant die, so they could compleat their goal of finnishing Kingdom Hearts. but because of the fact Demyx was too scared, he ran away.

Flashpenny - You'll wear the face of despair. TALK - Where's the fun in this? If Xemnas honestly wanted to make a deal with the Lord of the Dead he would've gone himself. Or he would've sent one of the more brutal and not-easily-intimidated members like Xaldin or Saix. Hell he'd even have sent Xigbar or Luxord on that kind of errand. Knowing Xemnas, he wouldn't have trusted a responsibility like that to someone as pathetic and easily-scared as Demyx. The only time when Demyx ain't scared is when he's talking about Roxas' "treason" and even then it takes a lot to push him over the edge. On the other hand Xemnas could've just been annoyed by Demyx being a useless waste of time, space and air and decided to send him on suicide missions (i.e. he also sent Demyx to take on Sora during the Battle of 1000 Heartless, despite the many obvious risks).

Anyone else think that Hades would make one HELL (lame pun ftw) of a Nobody? Why wouldn't the Organization want him if they were also going after the far weaker Beast? Few reasons why Demyx specifically would be sent there:

1. He's got magical water powers. Hades blocks things with magical fire. It was said by someone that Demyx pourd some strange water on some flames and they disapeared, leting him procead. Perhaps Xemnas realized that Demyx was the only one with any hopes of getting around?

2. Demyx only fakes his incompetance. He's really a powerful member, as demonstrated by that god-awefl-annoying boss fight in Hollow Bastion. Xemnas would have realized that.

3. Maybe it's the whole "opposites attract" theroy? I mean, maybe Demyx could "cool down" Hades enough that he'd listen to whatever the Organization wanted.

You know weirdly that’s a really good thought, I mean Flashpenny mentioned sending Xaldin or Saix, now these two are obviously going to be less intimidated but then again there more likely to end up fighting or insulting Hades or destroying half the underworld. I mean sure Xemnas never met or contacted Disney Villains, but if there was a Lord of the Dead somewhere id certainly not want to be on there bad side. Also there is a possibility that there might be Nobodies in the Underworld, I mean when people die something might cause the darkness left over to become a heartless thus making nobodies. I think it's because they could afford to lose Demyx, to my knowledge, he never did much, and all he did was annoy everyone, and was relativley weak.(Bananaphone1996 23:53, April 16, 2010 (UTC))

And as for the incompetency argument, Demyx would have made a nice 'road block' like Luxord to slow pr stop his ascension into the CTNW, whether he have a ravashing conversation with Sora about who he is blah blah, or if he fight to his 'heart's' content. Easily like a five to fifteen minute block in the real world, so no value in throwing any of them away.

I've always pronounced Demyx like Dem-eez, but switchted to Dem-icks. As for Luxord, I've called him Lucks-ord. What do you think?

Sub-section glitch?

Til then, I'll be in your heart... This may be trivial to point out, but when I was making minor edits of Demyx's page, I noticed that the Kingdom Hearts section heading isn't showing up on his page. It's on the Contents bar thingy, and when I click "Hide", it does show up. I'm sorry if I'm not explaining this clearly, but I wanted to it point it out. It might be a glitch on my part because I'm using the monobook skin. I'm not sure.
