Appearing in a data cable, Player is severely wounded and surrounded by the four darknesses. They commend the darkness possessing Player for goading Ephemer into creating a portal, but suggest leaving the body before they perishes together. However, Player just laughs and seals the exit revealing they were not actually possessed and it was all an act to trap darkness to ensure the safety of their friends. The four darknesses are enrage and try to escape, to no avail. Player had outsmarted the darkness and won however, the wounds received were still real and fatal knowing this is the end Player eventually collapses in exhaustion and embraces Chirithy before being engulfed by a bright light. The two find themselves in a white void with many other Keyblade wielders. Chirithy now presents Player with two options: Player falls asleep and Chirithy becomes the guardian of their heart as a [[Dream Eater]], or they could not sleep and continue the cycle of transferring hearts as normal. Player chooses to not sleep, embraces Chirithy one last time, and the pair transform into a heart and float away.

They somehow sensed or felt that the newborn baby [[Xehanort]] was the great-great-grandson of Ephemer, along with believing that Xehanort could be the fabled "Child of Destiny" for safety reasons Player fled with him to Destiny Islands where the Darkness couldn't find him. While caring for the boy Player would constantly tell him stories about his linage and most importantly about the day he would leave the island. Adding on they hear that Xehanort has a strong desire to see his mother as well as visit the people from his dreams upon hearing the boy describe them Player realizes they are their friends from their previous life with that they believe Xehanort is the one. Player tells him one last story about their previous life and during their second life they spoke of a similar passage before but this time the world would be saved by the "Child of Destiny". As the years go by, Player watches Xehanort grow into a teenager knowing their time is up, aware of the trials he was going face they took it with solace that he become a beacon of light and hope just as their friend Ephemer did, with that Player releases their heart moving onto the afterlife.
