Skuld tells Player that she had a dream in which Ephemer told her to find and help Player. While talking, Skuld and Player witness [[Aced]] and [[Invi]] fighting on the rooftops; the two then decide to go looking for Ephemer. On the way to the Clock Tower, Player and Skuld are ambushed by a group of [[Darklings]], a type of Heartless they have never seen before.
