It was founded some time after Sora defeated [[Ansem, Seeker of Darkness]], and is renamed to '''Radiant Garden Reconstruction Committee''' once [[Hollow Bastion]] transforms back to [[Radiant Garden]].

The Restoration Committee was founded in the hope of restoring Radiant Garden to its former glory and eradicating Heartless from the town. Meetings take place in [[Merlin]]'s house in Hollow Bastion.

Within a year's work, the committee manages to restore most of the town's former image. Cid created a defense system called [[Claymore]]s that would destroy weaker [[Heartless]] and occupy stronger ones until a committee member could arrive to dispose of them.

Sora and company assist Leon in finding [[Ansem the Wise]]'s secret lab, Ansem's computer and [[Xehanort]]'s notes on the Heartless.

While using the computer Sora and company entered the digital realm of [[Space Paranoids]] and with the assistance of [[Tron]] were able to get back to search for a password that would open up the dataspace. The [[Master Control Program]] got access to the dataspace and started to destroy the town. Two areas of the town were partially destroyed by this but gave access to new areas. Heartless swarmed the town and the Committee with the assistance of [[Cloud]], [[Tifa]], [[Stitch]], and the [[Gullwings]] (who had to be bribed into joining their side) defended the town from a Heartless Invasion. Sora fought against the Heartless in the [[Battle of the 1000 Heartless]].

When Sora returned to Hollow Bastion, he found out that the MCP had hacked into the town's defense system and was making Heartless in the Heartless Manufactory in Ansem's study. Merlin and Cid put together a program that could rid Space Paranoids of the MCP. Sora reentered the computer and helped Tron destroy the MCP and gave Tron full control of the digital realm. This would allow Tron access to restricted files in Ansem the Wise's computer. Tron showed the citizens of Hollow Bastion how their home used to look and revealed its original name of Radiant Garden. Subsequently, Yuffie later informs Sora and co. that the Comittee has been renamed the "Radiant Garden Reconstruction Committee".

Over a year passes since the defeat of Master Xehanort and the disappearance of Sora. The Radiant Garden Restoration Committee work with Ansem the Wise, Riku, the King and Sora's other friends to find him; Terra, Aqua and Ventus search the Dark World, Roxas and Xion have their memories examined for clues, the King, Donald and Goofy are looking in worlds Sora visited and a sleeping Kairi is having her heart examine by Ansem for any clues. 

Cid compiles all the data from the computers in Twilight Town, Disney Castle, and Radiant Garden; unfortunately creating data copies of the Real Organization XIII. With the data too powerful to hack normally to look for clues, they use Sora's data to "defeat" the Organization's data. However, this results in no clues.

Luckily Fairy Godmother arrives on request from Merlin and Yen Sid to examine Riku's dreams for clues. Riku recounts a dream where he was looking for Sora in a unfamiliar city; however that's it. Fairy Godmother assures them that a clue IS in the dream, and in the dreams of two others.

==Members==
All members of the Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee carry a [[Membership Card]]. Sora's card was able to give him access to the worlds of [[The Land of Dragons]] and [[Beast's Castle]] by opening one of the [[World]] Gates.
