{{Maggosh|text=You are absolutely right. The past couple of days have been a real eye-opener for me, and I really think things should be changed for the better. Like you said, we should be a tightly-knit community, and not be at each other's throats over something as silly as an edit war. Let's get together and do what this wiki was made for; make this information accessible to the rest of the world. Happy holidays, everybody.}}

I'm very glad you wrote this! This year has certainly been an eye-opener and experience. Look at everythings that happened! Yes, we've had some sockpuppets, scandals and such, but look at the positives! This wiki has grown GREATLY from the beginning- from users, to publicity (made the wiki-spotlight again! ^^), to articles. <big> Great job EVERYONE!</big>
However there has been a subject that has caused alot of unnecessary damage- friction between users and staff members. This subject has been brought up a few times this year (see past forums/user talk pages/[[Talk:Axel|Article]] talk pages). This is a touchy subject and is very argumentative for some but still. I wish that us [non-staff member users] would have a greater appreciation and understanding for the staff members; while staff members would include us in more often. Granted, some things should be left to staff members only and non-staff member users do not have to know everything. (I believe Yer mom discussed this in a previous [http://kingdomhearts.wikia.com/wiki/Forum:Wiki_Improvement forum] at the bottom). This is one barrier that I hope starts degradation or is minimalized as possible.
To staff members, I greatly appreciate everything you do and understand that being a staff member comes a heavy responsibility which at times can suck. But please understand that there are non-staff member users who are just as devoted about the wiki! See past forums (Character Page Improvement), upload logs, fixing vandalism, etc. You guys are not alone!
Note: I'm not trying to be arrogant/ignorant or "step on any toes." Thank you, happy holidays!}}

{{Dan da Man36|time=10:53, December 27, 2009 (UTC)|happy=I know I'm new on the scene here, and I'd like to say that everyone has been really nice to me and I've learned how to do some nice edits thanks to all of the support.
Even from my very brief experience on this wiki, I can say that this is '''the''' friendliest wiki around.
Again, I'd like to thank everyone whom I have had the pleasure of chatting with, and I wish you all a very happy and prosperous new year!!! ^_^}}
{{DTN|time=03:09, December 28, 2009 (UTC)|text=I'm going to make the same statement about user-staff issues that I've said before:
<p>"I definitely agree that regularly contributive editors are just as important as the staffers. When I speak to someone on the wiki about a matter, I completely ignore my rank, and their rank on the wiki. And that is the way that you should think as well, a rank means nothing when we are all working towards a common goal. The staff isn't meant to be a group of "higher-ups" who you should look up to; the staff is simply a group of editors that have been voted by the community to have more privileges to better the wiki. The community votes on the staff, so if you disagree with the staff's current actions and/or behavior ''due to their position'', you were the ones who put them into their positions."</p>
----
And on the subject of everyone coming together as friends... such a goal is a true fantasy. This is a ''wiki''. Every contributor, be they a staff member, regular user, or anonymous contributor will have different opinions on how vandals should be handled, articles should be organized, what is redundant material, and so forth. As great is it would be to have a completely unified community, the community's many different views and opinions is going to keep that from happening; there's no way around that. You can't change the community. And therefore, there are going to be arguments. There are definitely going to be users who don't like each other. And thee will ''definitely'' be edit conflicts and edit reverting. All of this is unavoidable; it's simply part of being part of a community made up of completely different people.
However, this doesn't make behavior such as senselessly reverting edits, disrespecting another user, edit warring, or putting another user down acceptable behavior. Just because we can never be 100% fully unified toward our common goal of improving the wiki with no issues along the way does not mean that it is okay to give up and do whatever you please. There is only one thing you will get out of that, and that is a ban from the wiki. We should all respect each other's opinions and ideas, because that we're all different. Just because you think an idea or method of making the wiki better means that everyone will think the same way. With such a large community of regularly contributing editors, getting everyone's opinions and ideas is important. Likewise, edit warring and reverting a user's edit for a prejudice reason is also bad wiki conduct. Recently, I've seen several edit wars occur, and they all could have been prevented if the two users involved had discussed the issue on a talk page, the IRC channel, or a Forum post, rather than disrespecting each other with foul comments in the edit summaries. If you really want to contribute to the uniting of our community, then you need to understand that conflicts between users should not be handled with bad language, misconduct, or disrespect; as previously stated, such actions will get you banned from the wiki.}}
